R-Chek Resistivity Meter RC2175

“R-Chek” Four Point Sheet Resistance Meter

Remove all doubt and be sure that your product is properly coated… without breaking the bank!  EDTM is proud to offer budget-friendly Four Point Sheet Resistance Meters that are calibrated to standards that are traceable to a NIST traceable source.

The resistance of a thin film/coating is directly proportional to the resistivity

and is an important QUALITY CONTROL component of a coating. Therefore, resistivity may be the most important factor in determining the repeatability and function of a coating. Sheet resistance has the unit of ohms, but it is convenient to refer to it in ohms per square since the sheet resistance produces the resistance of the coating within any square area. Therefore, this parameter is measured using the 4-point technique.

Applications:

Pocket size protection for production, R & D, sales, and quality assurance personnel who must know their products are “coated” properly.

  • Inspecting Coated Glass
  • Solar Panels or Solar Cells
  • Automotive Mirrors
  • Freezer Doors
  • Glass Top Stoves
  • Photonics
  • Many other industries

Specifications:

The RC2175 includes a toggle switch that changes the resolution from x1 to x10.  This affects the range, resolution and accuracy of the meter as follows:

With the Switch Set to “x1”
Range = 0-1999 ohms/square
Resolution = 1 ohms/square
Accuracy = 3% up to 1000

With the Switch Set to “x10”
Range = 0-19990 ohms/square
Resolution = 10 ohms/square
Accuracy = 6% up to 19990
